Climbing into the Atlas at dusk
The Adventures
All
our “Worlds Apart Adventures” are loosely based on the same overall
routes and daily destinations, with some more challenging off-road
sections included for our "Extreme Adventure". The route we use is
essentially a North-South route that allows us to avoid driving the
same ground twice, and thus provides us with the opportunity to
experience the best Morocco has to offer as far as diversity of
terrain, and off-road routes, whilst not having to travel huge
distances "around" Morocco. We have already done that in our
reconnaissance trips and previous adventures and have found that the
route we now use ticks all the boxes as far as what people have told us
they want out of this type holiday.
For example you can:
- Traverse the stunning Atlas Mountains
- Explore and camp in the dunes of the awe inspiring Sahara desert
- Journey across massive dried lake pans
- Cross many rivers (some dry, some not!)
- Travel to the mighty Cedar forests
- Pass through incredible gorges
And much, much more but you wont have to spend the whole two weeks in your vehicle to do so, and you will still have the opportunity for sight-seeing, taking part in extra activities, souvenir shopping, relaxing and enjoying your Moroccan holiday adventure.
The Classic Adventure:
Classic Adventure
Our "Classic Adventure" is an adventure suitable for all and is the most popular option with families, here the emphasis is very much focused on a "fun" adventure holiday, with camping and hotel/auberge options at all the overnight stops, except for the four "wilderness" camp's. Most hotels/auberge have swimming pools to look forward too for that well earned end of day cooling dip, and even a couple of our "wilderness" camps are actually on the shore of two beautiful lakes.
The Grand Adventure:
Grand Adventure
If
camping is not your "thing" then read on. Our "Grand Adventure" is for
those who are keen to experience a "Worlds Apart Adventure" but would
prefer a little more luxury at the end of the day. Each night you will
check in to your hotel or auberge accommodation and enjoy a refreshing
shower or a relaxing bath whilst dinner is being prepared for you. All
accommodation is usually four star or equivalent normally with a pool
and we also use a sprinkling of the more exclusive Hotels along the
route. The routes used are similar to the "Classic Adventure" but of
course without the camping!
"Our Grand Adventure" also includes "rest" days where we would stay in
the same hotel for two nights and you could then either just relax by
the pool, take advantage of local shopping/sight seeing opportunities
or even join us for an optional off-road driving excursion in to the
dunes or the mountains etc. depending on our current location.
The Extreme Adventure:
Extreme Adventure
Our "Extreme Adventure" includes some more severe and technically demanding terrain than our other adventures. Also another exciting "feature" of the "Extreme Adventure" is the time of year we travel and therefore the unpredictability of the weather conditions, from flooding to snow and from sand to mud all in the same holiday. Also due to the variable conditions we can experience on an "Extreme Adventure" we will need to be a lot more self reliant, as there is a possibility we may not reach our scheduled overnight venue, and will need to camp wherever we find ourselves at nightfall on that particular day, thus, further adding to the "adventure".
